Services I provide as your Doula When you hire me as a Doula, you can expect at least 2 prenatal visits - one where I get to know your desires for your birth event, what you want and answer any questions you may have and during the second (and possibly subsequent visits) go over specific childbirth techniques and your birth plan. I will be with you during your labour and delivery from the agreed upon time, and stay with you after the birth of your baby until I know you are settled and everything is fine.
I will respect your desire and need to be alone as a new family during the immediate postpartum time. I will also make 1 or 2 postpartum visits depending on your needs. At these visits we will go over the birth and discuss what happened. I can also answer any breastfeeding questions you may have at this time. At the last visit you will receive a written birth story as a keepsake. I can show you techniques and offer advice to help both the mother and her partner
work together to make labour as smooth a process as possible. I provide labour doula services in the Fraser Valley, from Chilliwack through Surrey. The rates in this area average between $350 and $1000 based on certification and experience. My fee is a flat $550 and covers all aspects of our relationship. The contract that we sign has more details. I do believe that all women deserve labour support and will work on a payment plan if necessary, so please contact me! |
